Account setup

Create an account and open the user dashboard

Start by opening the OJVPN account creation page. Enter a username you plan to use long term and set a password that you do not reuse on other websites. No email address is required. Once the username and password are submitted successfully, the account is created. Before placing an order, confirm that you can sign in normally, because the same user dashboard is used to check plan status, get your subscription, and access the client download area.

After creation, the page may take you to the user dashboard or ask you to sign in again. If it does, use the username and password you just set. In the dashboard, first review the account overview and confirm that the plan and subscription sections display correctly. Having no active plan at this stage is normal. Choose a monthly subscription or data package based on your usage in the next step; there is no need to create an empty configuration in the client beforehand.

Your username is the main credential used to identify the account, so consider saving it in a trusted password manager. If your browser fills in old credentials from another website, clear them before entering your details to avoid saving the wrong username. For account issues, there is no need to keep retrying—see the Help Center’s account and subscription guide.

Choose a plan based on your usage

In the Plans section of the user dashboard, you will find two billing options: monthly subscriptions and data packages. Monthly subscriptions come in 60GB, 250GB, and 500GB tiers, with data resetting each month on the activation date. Data packages use the total amount purchased until it runs out and never expire. When choosing for the first time, do not focus only on the total data allowance. Consider how you use the service: occasional browsing and temporary tasks may suit a smaller allowance, while regular video streaming, file downloads, or ongoing cross-border work may call for a higher tier.

After choosing a plan, open the order confirmation page and check the plan name, price, and billing method carefully. OJVPN supports Alipay, WeChat Pay, and USDT. Select a suitable payment method, complete the payment, and return to the user dashboard to check the order status. Closing the payment page too early does not change a submitted order, but the final status shown in the dashboard is what matters. Do not assume the subscription is ready based only on a payment-page message.

Once the order status updates, the account overview will show the corresponding plan and data details. If you upgrade a monthly subscription partway through its term, the price difference is calculated against the remaining days, so review the order result shown in the dashboard before proceeding. If you need a refund after your first payment, OJVPN provides a 7-day no-questions-asked refund. See the Help Center’s billing and refund guide for the request process and scope.

Get your subscription

Copy the subscription link from the account overview

After your plan becomes active, open the account overview in the user dashboard and find the subscription information section. This is the subscription entry linked to your account; the client uses it to retrieve available routes and future configuration updates. After clicking Copy, confirm that the page shows a successful-copy message before switching to the client. Manually selecting only part of the text can omit query parameters and cause an incomplete link during import.

A subscription link is account delivery information and should not be posted on public pages, in chat groups, or in screenshots. It serves a different purpose from the website address: the website is for reading documentation and managing your account, while the subscription link is read by the client to obtain route configuration. When changing devices, return to the account overview and copy it again instead of forwarding the old device’s client configuration file.

The address below is a placeholder used only to show the format. It cannot connect to OJVPN and contains no real account information. In actual use, copy the content generated for your account in the user dashboard:

https://example.com/sub?token=YOUR_TOKEN

If the subscription section has not appeared in the account overview, check the order record first, then refresh the overview. Do not repeatedly create the same order while the original is still processing. If the order is active but the subscription is still missing, submit an issue through the ticket entry in the user dashboard. After copying the link, open the client for your current platform and import it as an updatable subscription rather than opening it as an ordinary webpage.

Import the subscription on each platform

Open the client download area from the user dashboard and get the OJVPN client for your platform. OJVPN does not provide direct installer links on marketing pages; the signed-in download area is where clients and subscriptions are delivered. After installation, return to this section and use the link copied in the previous step to create a subscription. Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS have different layouts, but the workflow is the same: open subscription or configuration management, paste the link, save and update, then choose a route from the refreshed list.

Windows: Import from subscription management

After installing and opening the Windows client, look for an entry such as “Subscription management” or “Configuration” on the main screen or sidebar. When creating a subscription, paste the complete link copied from the account overview into the URL field. You can give it an easy-to-recognize name, such as OJVPN. Save it, click Update Subscription, wait for the route list to load, and then return to the main screen to choose a route.

If the link cannot be saved after pasting, check for spaces or line breaks before and after it. If it saves but the list is empty, run the update once more instead of creating multiple identical subscriptions. The Windows system proxy or connection switch is usually on the main screen. After choosing a route, you still need to turn on that switch for the client to handle the traffic that needs acceleration.

macOS: Add a remote configuration

In the macOS client, open the configuration or subscription page and choose the option to add a remote configuration from a URL. Paste the complete subscription link and save it, then run an update and confirm that the new configuration appears in the list. Some versions place the main controls in a menu bar icon, so you can still switch routes and check the connection status after closing the main window.

When starting the connection for the first time, macOS may ask you to approve network configuration access. Follow the system prompts, return to the client, choose the route again, and enable the connection. If you skip authorization, the subscription list may still appear normal, but traffic will not use the selected route. Confirm successful import and an active system connection separately.

Android: Paste the link through the Add option

Open the Android client, go to the configuration list or subscription page, tap the Add option, and choose Import from URL. Paste the link into the relevant field, save it, then pull to refresh or tap the Update button. Once the route names appear, choose one near the region of your target service and return to the home screen to start the connection.

When Android establishes a network connection for the first time, it will display an authorization prompt. Confirm it so the client can enable the route. If the connection pauses after running in the background for a while, check the system’s background activity settings for the app. This page does not cover every system-version option; see the Help Center’s connection and troubleshooting categories.

iOS: Add a subscription in the client

Check the download area in the user dashboard for the currently available iOS client. Once the client is ready, open its subscription, configuration, or server management page. Choose Add from URL, paste the subscription link, save it, and run an update. When the route list appears, choose the target region and start the connection from the client’s main screen.

The first time you start a connection, iOS will ask for permission to add a network configuration. After confirming in the system dialog, return to the client and check the connection status. If the newly imported route does not appear, manually update it from the subscription page instead of deleting the account or purchasing the plan again. When interface labels change between versions, use these three consecutive actions as your guide: add the URL, update the configuration, and choose a route.

Confirm the connection

Choose a route and verify the connection

After the subscription update finishes, choose a route based on the region where the target service is hosted. For example, when accessing a service in Japan, try a Japan route first; for content in another region, choose the corresponding region. OJVPN covers 90+ countries and provides 200+ routes, with multiple route types potentially available in the same region. You do not need to test every route initially. Start with one geographically close to the target service, enable the client’s connection switch, and wait for the status to stabilize.

During verification, do not rely only on whether the client says “Connected.” Open the website or app you actually need and confirm that pages load, sign-in completes, and continued access remains stable. If a service still shows your original region, fully close it and reopen it. For browsers, it is also best to test in a new window so an existing session does not affect the result.

If nothing can be accessed after connecting, disconnect, update the subscription once, and try another route in the same region. If only one particular website has trouble while other international services work, investigate the target region, route type, or app cache instead of reinstalling the client immediately. For the differences between global mode, rule mode, persistent connections, and AI Tools streaming output, read the complete AI Tools access guide; advanced parameters are outside the scope of this page.

To use the service on multiple devices, repeat the process on each one: open the dashboard and copy the subscription, import it into the client, choose a route, and verify the connection. OJVPN supports unlimited simultaneous devices, but the subscription link should still be stored securely by the account holder. After changing plans, the client usually only needs an update to the existing subscription; there is no need to delete and add it again.

Routine maintenance

Remember these three things for everyday use

First, if the route list has not changed for a long time or a new plan is not reflected in the client, start with “Update Subscription.” The subscription synchronizes configuration, so reinstalling the client is not the preferred first step. Second, if access to the target service is unsatisfactory, try another route in the same region before changing the connection mode. Third, for account, order, and subscription status, rely on the user dashboard; the client only reads configuration and establishes the connection.

When an error appears, note the platform, the current route region, the step where it occurred, and whether the issue remains after updating the subscription. This information is more useful for troubleshooting than simply saying “it doesn’t work.” The Help Center organizes account and subscription, connection and troubleshooting, speed and routes, and billing and refunds into separate categories.

If you want to understand why AI services are more sensitive to regional detection, IP environments, persistent connections, and streaming output, or need to configure command-line tools, IDE plugins, and development environments, see the AI Tools Guide. The goal of this quick-start page is to get your first connection working. Adjust advanced settings one at a time after the basic workflow is stable so you can identify which setting affects the result.
